Going for a walk

Even a daily walk can improve health and fitness. The cardiovascular system gets going and exercise also has advantages for many brain functions, as studies have found out [1].

Obesity and the risk of developing cardiovascular diseases can be prevented and reduced by daily walking [2]. Aside from the physical benefits, exercise also improves mental health. Hormones are released that put you in a good mood [3]. Apart from that, going for a walk doesn't feel like real sport and therefore requires less effort.
