Take a break at the Campus

Where do you take a break from university?

The days at the university can be very long: The lecture is followed by the seminar, the seminar is followed by a meeting with the group to prepare for the presentation next week, then you go to the library to study, and finally you go to another lecture. Does this sound familiar? For many students this is a normal day at university and they spend many hours every day at one of the TUM campus locations. Fortunately, one appointment doesn't always chase the next and there is a little time to retreat from the stressful university routine to relax. But where do TUM students relax in the first place?

Survey

Students spend a lot of time on campus during the lecture period. Between classes, there's sometimes time to take a break from the hustle and bustle of everyday life - right?

In our survey, we wanted to find out which recreation spots you use on campus, how you rate the current offerings, what you think a good recreation spot looks like, and what suggestions you have for improvement in terms of recreation spots.

Komal

Chemical Biotechnology

TUM Campus Straubing

"The best part about this spot is the Danube River. With the view of the river, I usually like to sit on the bench, which is really relaxing and peaceful. You can see a lot of people doing different chores. Some people walk and jog with their dogs, some play with their friends, and some sit and listen to their music, just like me."

Health Sciences

TUM Campus im Olympiapark

"I particularily love this part of the CiO Campus because it is a place where one can relax, be active and still engage with other fellow students. In between lectures we eat our lunch on the benches, play volleyball and spikeball or just enjoy the sun. Additionally, one has a great view of the Olympiaturm, which means a lot to me and is an impressive landmark of Munich."
